"I'VE GOTTA PEE," I announce and stand up, everyone cheers and I flip them off. I lean forward and do a lousy Arnold Schwarzenegger impression with, "I'll be back!"

They all boo and throw popcorn and pretzels at me. I laugh and head to the restroom. I wonder what's taking Kyle so long. Ugh, I hope the line isn't long. I'll be standing cross-legged if that's the case.

I round the corner and see Macyn running her finger up Kyle's chest. I step back and watch from where they can't see me. He grips her wrist and pushes her hand down. Then I hear it. She's talking to Kyle about me and DeMarco and she's lying. Oh my God. I'm not ready… I can't do this. I back away, turning to find Lisa. I see her across the room and I rush to her, then grab her arm.

"Come with," I say, pulling her along.

"Whoa, what's the rush?" She takes one look at me, fighting the urge to cry and punch something at the same time, and leads me upstairs.

"Bathroom." I still have to pee and it'll give us some privacy.

She closes and locks the door then waits while I do my business. When I'm done and washing my hands, she rounds on me.

"What's going on, My?"

"Oh God, Lisa. I saw Kyle and Macyn—"

Her face turns red in anger and she cuts me off. "If he was doing anything with her, I'll kick his fucking ass. No guy cheats on you. Ever."

"He wasn't. They were talking and she was telling him things," I say, trying to breathe through my panic.

"What things?" she asks, rubbing my back.

The tears begin to fall and I look at her shaking my head. Her eyes widen.

"Oh no. Shit," she says. I grab a tissue and wipe at the salty trails of tears on my cheeks.

"And… and what she said," I take a breath and look at Lisa. "She told him DeMarco's version."

"That fucking bitch."

"I'm not done."

"It gets worse?"

"Much. I think he believed her. When she was telling him, he got all rigid and stiff," I tell her.

She grabs a tissue. "That means nothing." She dries the remaining tears. "I imagine it was a bit of a shock to hear something like that, especially since he was at that party too."

I sniffle one last time. "That's true. I don't want him to think that way of me, Lis."

"This is Kyle we're talking about. He's the last person to jump to conclusions or judge anyone for anything."

I nod and toss the tissue in the trash. "I hope you're right."

"Only one way to find out," she says, raising her eyebrows.

I nod. "Might as well face it head on."

"That's my girl," she tells me with a smack on my ass. That makes me grin—until we get down in the kitchen and see Kyle and Jason coming in from the back hallway. Kyle does not look happy at all and DeMarco's strutting like the asshole he is.

"Fuck," I whisper.

Lisa looks at me. Sarah and Emme come over.
